The K to Research Independence Program is designed to support faculty who have successfully obtained a career development award in their quest for approval for an RO1 grant. The objective of this program is to provide faculty with the support needed to successfully deliver the objectives of their career development award, while also developing and writing for an RO1 grant. As part of the K to Research Independence Program you will get the opportunity to take part in:

  • Mentorship - Meet one to one with your individual, bespoke Program Committee to discuss research development.
  • Research Sessions - For early career investigators who will benefit from an opportunity to present their research ideas and specific aims to a Panel of Experts in a virtual discussion format.
  • Monthly Work Plan – Tracking for success with K-award delivery and support with R01 development from the K to Research Independence team.
  • Executive Coaching – Develop your management and problem-solving skills, identifying areas for development and gaining support with emotional intelligence and wellbeing.
  • K to R retreat and workshops - Intensive grant writing and skills training for independent researchers.
